Las Vegas Raiders lead 20-0 at halftime
The Las Vegas Raiders have dominated the first half against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They lead 20-0 at halftime and lead in every major statistical category. The Raiders have also outrushed the Jaguars and only gave up four 1st downs, giving the team a commanding 20-0 lead at halftime. Despite this, the Raiders have a long way to go to reach their goal of winning the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game.
NBC will broadcast the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game 2022 between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Raiders’ wideouts will be replaced with new faces.
With his upcoming pro debut, Stidham faces a few challenges. He must prove his aptness to the Raiders’ offensive scheme and lead the offense without getting injured. He’s been on the physically unable to perform list twice this season, and he’s just one injury away from getting injured again.
Slater is a Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee
In addition to being a two-way lineman for ten seasons, Slater is the longest-tenured African American player in NFL history. His delay was partly due to race. Induction into the Hall of Fame took place during the 2020 class, and he was not able to host the ceremony due to COVID. However, Slater is a well-deserved member of this elite group.
Duke Slater was an outstanding lineman in the early NFL. He was one of the few African-American players to make it all. During his career, he played for three teams: the Chicago Cardinals (1922-1925), the Rock Island Independents (1926-31), and the Milwaukee Badgers. In addition to his NFL achievements, Slater was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s “Centennial Slate” in 1965.
Trevor Lawrence will not start for Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars are not going to start quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in 2022. The rookie quarterback struggled during his rookie season and is expected to be back in full strength soon. His offensive line has improved and the Jaguars have signed Travis Etienne, but the starting QB hasn’t told anyone who will start at this time. The Jaguars have a new head coach and upgraded their weapons, but Doug Pederson hasn’t yet announced who will start in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game.
The Jaguars haven’t played in the Hall of Fame Game since 1995. However, the team is sending offensive tackle Tony Boselli, who will be inducted the following year. The Raiders will make their fourth Hall of Fame Game appearance, their first in the new city of Las Vegas. The game will be played at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 4, 2022, and kick off at 8 p.m. ET.
Travis Etienne and James Robinson miss first preseason game
The Jacksonville Jaguars are being cautious with both of their star running backs. James Robinson and Travis Etienne are both out with injuries. Etienne missed practice on Tuesday and is expected to be out for the entire game. Robinson is working through an Achilles tendon injury and may not play at all. Pederson has a lot to worry about for both players.
Both players are questionable for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game. James Robinson is a potential starter but has not played a preseason game yet. Etienne and Robinson were benched because of two fumbles during the regular season. But they have only fumbled three times in their entire NFL career.
They have combined for a total of 484 carries and 767 yards last season before getting hurt. Robinson could return by mid-August.
