Legendary Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan has publicly made it known that he really knows Ghanaian musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is widely known as Shatta Wale.
Asamoah made this known in a recent interview on Peace FM with Kwame Sefa Kayi stating that he was in the same class (JHS) with Shatta Wale at Seven Great Princess Academy.
According to him, although most people don’t understand Shatta Wale when he does some things in the music industry, he (Asamoah Gyan) understands him adding that Shatta Wale is one person who does not take things personally and he understands the music business and that is what informs what he does.
In short, Asamoah claimed that Shatta Wale is not controversial as some think, however, he only does what he does to be relevant in the game and he even recounted a scenario of how he and Shatta Wale were mocked in class when they announced what they wanted to do in future.
