Fc Barcelona’s New Manager After Ronald Koeman

Ronald Koeman

Fc Barcelona has finally sacked their club legend Ronald Koeman and has already included Xavi on their shortlist of possible replacements.

Fc Barcelona has boldly sacked their club legend Ronald Koeman who won the Copa del Ray in his first season as the head coach of Barcelona. This particular season has been very bad as the club has suffered some shocking defeats.

Under Ronald Koeman, Fc Barcelona has won just four of their opening 10 games in La Liga. Barca as a club is also struggling in the group stages of the Champions League as they were beaten by Bayern Munich and Benfica before they secured a 1-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv last week.

Ronald Koeman has been sacked by the board after a shocking 1-0 defeat away to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday evening.

Now there are four coaches on the list of Barcelona which one of them will be perfect for Barcelona at this moment? See the list and their stats below.

1. Henrik Larsson

Henrik Larsson is one of the best players who played for Fc Barcelona and he is now an option to replace Ronald Koeman.

Henrik Larsson is already working with the club as the coach in the first team, which implies that he has first-hand experience of what is wrong with the squad technically.

According to some reports from Europe, Larsson has a decent relationship with the players and that can be of great help when it comes to bringing the best out of them.

Being a former player he has a vast knowledge of the ‘Cruyff Philosophy’ and the ‘Tiki-Taka’ style of football, as such, he seems to be a good option for the Catalan giants.

2. Roberto Martinez

Roberto Martinez is another option who could take over from Ronald Koeman at Barcelona if the Dutchman gets fired anytime soon.

The Spanish tactician is a fan of possession-based football, as such, he’ll try implementing it with the Catalans.

However, Martinez is still in charge of the Belgian National Team. As such, it will be quite difficult for him to ditch the Belgian job for the Barcelona job.

3. Erik Ten Hag

Ten Hag is currently coaching Ajax and has always been seen as a potential FC Barcelona manager because of his style of play and tactics.

His successes at Ajax speak for themselves. However, it’s unsure if he could leave his Ajax job mid-season to join FC Barcelona.

4. Xavi Hernandez

The former club captain will inevitably coach Barcelona at some point in his career. He has made clear it is his principal desire and he’s also admired by the club’s hierarchy.

His time at Al-Sadd has been a success, as such, Xavi Hernandez looks like the likeliest successor of Ronald Koeman.
