Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reacted to the defeat at Anfield, stating that he feels his team will make a reset from that defeat.

Pep Guardiola went to Anfield for the 13th Premier League match, which ended in a 2-0 defeat. Manchester City conceded a goal 12 minutes into the game, scored by Cody Gakpo. Liverpool managed to hold the lead until the end of the first half. In the 70th minute, Mohamed Salah scored a penalty to double the lead for Liverpool.

After this defeat, Pep Guardiola stated that his team will have to start rebuilding their confidence and begin winning games.

During the game, Guardiola also reacted to Anfield’s chant, “You’re getting sacked in the morning”, and showed them the number 6, indicating his six Premier League titles as Manchester City coach. However, after the game, he also showed his disappointment in the chant, stating that he didn’t expect that at Anfield.

“Maybe they are right! I didn’t expect that at Anfield. Maybe they should’ve sung it in the past”

“I didn’t expect it from the people from Liverpool, but it’s fine!” Pep Guardiola told Sky Sports.
