The death of Joana Deladem Yabani has led to the arrest of Daniel Tuffour, a final-year student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
In a recent statement, the institution disclosed that the victim and the suspect shared a dormitory room. A social media video showed Joana and Daniel’s close relationship.
The video showed both students happy together in a room, in the company of some friends.

They shared a broad smile as they enjoyed each other’s company. Daniel then gave her a peck on the cheek. Joana and Daniel were in an amorous relationship.
Ghanaians who reacted to the video expressed sadness over the tragic death.
