The dancehall artist Stonebwoy raised excitement levels in Ejisu when he attended the #DYOP Easter Gala & Artist Night, which took place during the Easter weekend.
When his convoy entered town, many people gathered to view the successful musician. Stonebwoy surprised fans when he sprayed numerous GH¢10 notes from his car window, which led to wild excitement and a chaotic rush throughout the streets.
Several video recordings depicted fans yelling while extending their hands in an attempt to catch the flying money during the incident. Users on social media platforms posted humorous comments that described the situation as similar to money showering from above.
Stonebwoy became even more unexpected because he had previously condemned throwing money publicly. Stonebwoy previously stated that this practice causes public safety risks and disrespect to fans and leads to dangerous situations that result in injuries during his past interviews. He stated publicly that he chose to distribute his donations through discreet and well-considered methods.
To that effect, online social media users showed astonishment regarding his abrupt change of behaviour.
REACTIONS
The user LIL_BARON opined that Stonebwoy is the same person who previously warned he would not carry out the Kim gesture. Akwasi LyfstyLE made a joke by insinuating, “how he throws money around is like giving out funeral memorial food.”
