There has been a sad loss in the life of a female Ghanaian police officer known as Frema (also known as Matilda), who left us while pregnant with her unborn child.
The tragic news was broken by a TikTok user, Kwesi James, who felt deeply sad and asked why such a wonderful person had their life taken away so soon.
The reports state that Frema died in Prestea, but it is not yet clear if she was working there or whether it was her hometown. The cause of her death has not been shared, but it seems she went to sleep and did not wake up the next day.
The death of Frema and her unborn baby has deeply shocked her family, friends, and colleagues from the Ghana Police Service. Those who were close to her have posted condolences and shared memories on the internet.

In a viral TikTok post after her passing, Kwesi James iterated, “We know you love Frema, but at least let her have her baby.” The post has collected hundreds of comments from people who feel sorry for the woman and over 200,000 views.
Many people closest to me wrote messages expressing their sadness and offering support.
One person said, “I cannot forget the times we spent at the depot, Fremah,” and another lamented that “We live a moment, but we don’t know how long that moment will last. Mercy, Lord.”
The death of Frema shows how quickly life can end, and the country mourns a policewoman who was also about to become a mother.
