An official from the National Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Boakye, has taken a swipe at President Mahama over the plight of Ghana, insisting that his leadership has made the life of the people worse.
In a recent Peace FM interview, Nana Boakye complained about the economic hardships in Ghana under the rule of President Mahama.
Boakye argued that despite the short period of President Mahama’s leadership, his government has failed the expectations of Ghanaians.
“He promised he would make things better for the average Ghanaians, but he has betrayed their trust,” Boakye commented.
The increase in job losses was one of the major issues identified by Boakye. He highlighted that those in low-paying jobs have been made jobless by the policies of the current government.
Boakye also hinted that the economy of the country has been made worse by President Mahama’s leadership, and this has made life harder for people and families.

As a matter of fact, Boakye blamed the president for failure to deliver on promises they made during the campaign. He said the deteriorating circumstances, including rising joblessness and financial difficulties, are the result of Mahama’s inability to govern.
In the absence of the president’s silence on Boakye’s remarks, the statements have caused widespread debate across the country. The critics argue that global issues are the reason behind the challenges facing the government, but the supporters of President Mahama still hold on to his policies.
As Ghana’s political atmosphere changes, there is increased friction between its leaders and louder calls for new leadership.
