A 34-year-old man suspect has been arrested for stealing food items but he claims since the shop was open, he decided to help himself with the items as he desired.
The suspect who is 34-year-old and reported as KC Chukwuma and popularly knowns as Ejima KC was arrested by a vigilante group in Ukwulu, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State for stealing from a shop.
The suspect was alleged to have stolen some cartons of Noodles, washing soap, milk, beverages, Milo, etc from a shop on Friday which was 23rd July 2021. The suspect said since the shop was open, he decided to help himself with the items as he desired.
A village spokesman applauded the vigilance groups on their good work. The group also thanked the people for giving them what helped them in their successful operation
