The price for admission forms at health training institutions has been reduced to GH₵150 for future nursing students and healthcare candidates. The Ministry of Health in Ghana has cut admission form prices for all health training institutions to GH₵150. The price of admission forms for the 2025/2026 academic year has been cut down from GH₵200 to GH₵150.

The official application form sale period runs from Tuesday, April 22, to Thursday, June 19, in 2025.

The Ministry declared in a public release that lowering admission form prices forms an essential component of their mission to enhance health education accessibility for disadvantaged students. The decision supports national development through healthcare by encouraging young people to develop healthcare careers.

The statement described this price decrease as a move that helps families with financial relief while growing enrollment at health training institutions.

Prospective students have frequently avoided applying to multiple schools because of the high expense of application forms for several years. The Ministry aims to achieve these goals through cost reduction in order to provide quality health education opportunities for every student.

The application forms authorized by the ministry must be purchased at GCB Bank PLC and Agricultural Development Bank (ADB). The ministry instructs potential candidates to stay away from unofficial application form vendors because they may deliver inaccurate information or commit financial fraud.

The Ministry of Health made this announcement during a period where Ghana joins several nations in building up its medical personnel base. The healthcare sector demands a higher number of medical workers, including nurses and midwives, because Ghana faces both population growth and rising medical service requirements.

The health sector stakeholders support this move since they find it both practical and necessary at this time. Stakeholders propose that the ministry should implement two additional measures that involve online application access and financial assistance for outstanding students who lack financial resources.

All parents and guardians, together with applicants, should note down important dates in advance to prevent unnecessary last-minute stress. The Ministry ensures complete transparency together with fairness in their admission process for every applicant.

The government aims to draw more qualified students to health sector education through this financial assistance program in its effort to establish a stronger, healthier Ghana.
