Less than 24 hours after Empress Gifty filed a GH₵20 million defamation lawsuit, Nana Agradaa is issuing defamation threats of her own.
In a video on TikTok from May 21, 2025, the leader of Heaven Way Church said she is not scared of the lawsuit and is confident in her ability to fight it in court.
“If she sues me a hundred times, I won’t be afraid,” Agradaa told the viewer in the video.
There was something else as well.
Agradaa continued the argument by vowing to sue Empress Gifty’s husband, who is also a famous politician in Ghana. She says that Hopeson used violent language against her during a media interview, and she intends to take that claim seriously.
She mentioned that challenging Hopeson was not only a matter for Ghana’s courts. Instead, she said she would start an international lawsuit for billions of dollars and would use some of that money to resolve Empress Gifty’s defamation claims.

The argument has grown rapidly, making headlines because both women are famous—one for gospel music and the other on social media and religious platforms.
Empress Gifty started her defamation case at the Tema High Court on May 20 because Nana Agradaa had posted false and damaging comments about her on social media.
Apart from seeking money, the suit also wants Agradaa to remove all false statements and avoid making new attacks.
Now, Agradaa’s answer—angry and full of new threats for a countersuit—has only increased the tension around the case.
Legal experts are unsure how the case will turn out for Agradaa, especially since she says she is taking it to another country.
Ghanaians are keenly observing this legal dispute, hoping to learn who comes out on top.
