Notorious evangelist and head of Heaven Way Ministries, Evangelist Mama Pat, aka Agradaa, is once again in the news after she vociferously dismissed two church members in an incendiary Sunday service.
In one of the dramatic scenes recorded on camera and currently going viral on social media, Agradaa, together with her husband, Angel Asiamah, faced the entire congregation to declare her intention to dismiss the unidentified members.
She said the expulsion was by a spiritual revelation she had on direct contact with angels of God.
“They are not needed any more,” she said loudly on the pulpit.
“I have nothing to explain to anybody. That is what the angels are saying. Repent, unless the angels have already got you. When they do, we shall cut loose with you.”
The statement created gasps and shocked faces in church. Agradaa cautioned the congregation that those who had been kicked out were corrupting it and gave stern orders to her followers.
“Whenever you find them in this compound, chuck them out. We do not worship with them anymore. We must not permit any person to dissipate what we are amassing,” she continued with a hard-featured resolution.
This is another event in her saga of an unusual ministry. A historical figure as a scandalous traditional priestess, she made a rebranding as a Christian evangelist in 2021 that attracts both her devout supporters and vicious critics.

She preaches with a great deal of brashness and this style together with frequent controversies on the social media has attracted her much attention as one of the most popular religious leaders in Ghana.
Ghanaians online responded very quickly with the usual divided opinion. Others made fun of the scenario comparing the service to a live reality show.
One poster wrote, “Imagine being fired out of Agradaa church. I off go home sharp!” One said, “That is why in the church of Agradaa you can relieve stress and go home with small money.”
Some even doubted the authenticity of her so-called angelic visions; however, others interpreted the performance as a strict act of protesting spiritual prostitution.
It may have been a genuine command of God or a gutsy PR stunt, but Agradaa has once again told people in Ghana that, in her church, anything is possible and it will be loud.
