Among all The Senior High Schools In Ghana, Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion Has The Most Diplomatic Senior High School Prefect In Ghana.
Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion Senior High School is located in Cape Coast which can be found in the Central Region of Ghana. The school has been in existence for a very long time but many Ghanaians don’t know much about it.
Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion is noted for its academic excellence and you can not talk about the best senior high schools in Ghana without mentioning Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion. The school has a unique motto which goes like “Semper Optimo Nitere” and the primary colors of their main uniform are Yellow, and Mauve.
With respect to knowing more about the school, Goshers who is the showrunner of a popular youtube show called High Schools Africa showed up at the campus of Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion and made an amazing video that will educate you more on the school, and you will also know why Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion has the most Diplomatic Senior High School Prefect in Ghana.
The head Prefect of Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion Senior High School who goes by the name Master James Dadzie took his time to run us through some history about the school and why he has “Master” attached to his name.
The picture above shows four statues with some names attached to them, Goshers asked about the statues and James then took us through why the statues are there in the first place. In James’ submission, he made it known that the school was established on January 22, 1940, by Rev. Dr. A.W.E Appiah whose statue is on the second position from the left.
Rev. Dr. A.W.E Appiah named the school after his uncle whose statue is first from the left with the name DR. J.E Kwegyir Aggrey. James moved on to the next statue which is on the second position from the right with the name Bishop Edgar B. Watson, according to James, Bishop is also named after one of their houses in the school and he was also the one who helped the A.M.E Zion acquire the school from the Aggrey society.
Master James also said something about the first statue from the right, the statue has the name E.G Biney, and according to James, E.G Biney also helped in the commission of the school and that is why they honored him also with a statue on their campus.
