Nigerian TikTok influencer Peller is the latest to make waves online after showing off a valuable diamond chain worth millions of naira in a lavish Dubai trip.
The content creator, together with his partner Jarvis, posted on his Instagram page the moment he was presented with the dazzling jewellery when he was in the UAE. In the video, Peller looked thrilled when a jeweller carefully draped the heavy, glittering chain around his neck.
Although the content creator was evidently proud of the new item, he also expressed fear of wearing it in his Lagos hometown.
He said jokingly, “They might take my head instead,” an allusion to the risk of showing costlier things in Nigeria.
Peller’s shiny new acquisition was not long in stirring up a social media buzz. Some followers, however, did not believe it was right to display such levels of wealth.

Despite the public criticism, there are still many fans who are madly in love with Peller and his devoted, full of dream social media.
Many young Nigerians identify with Peller’s tale of rising from an ordinary TikTok creator to a high-life social media star with a penchant for extravagance because they too are seeking to use their fame to make money.
Whether it’s praise or negativity, there is no denying that Peller keeps the conversations going.
