Bayern Munich set to lose Lewandowski to Barcelona
Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has been pushing for a move to FC Barcelona since February.
With Xavi being a huge fan of the Polish striker, Barca has officially bid for the striker. As it stands now, Lewandowski has said goodbye to his teammates at Bayern and is on his way to Barcelona
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann and then whole Bayern team with the farewell to Robert Lewandowski during today’s training session. Contracts are now being checked in order to sign as soon as possible with Barcelona – Lewandowski will travel on Sunday as expected.
“These 8 years were special and I won’t forget that. I had a great time in Munich”, he tells “I will come back to say goodbye to all employees properly”, He said
Lewandowski’s agent Zahavi says: “Robert deserved a new chapter – I want to thank Bayern. Salihamidžić, Alemany and I were on the phone non-stop on Friday until midnight to find a good solution for all parties” “Everyone emerged as winner”
Bayern president Hainer announces: “We’ve reached a verbal agreement with Barcelona for Robert. It’s good to have clarity for all parties”. “Robert is an incredible player and he won everything with us. We are incredibly grateful to him”.
Bayern’s Salihamidzic confirms that the Polish captain will fly to the US with Barcelona: “Robert will fly to the US and then he will come back here to have a coffee together”. “We have an agreement in place with Barcelona board”.
