Messi’s new club team

Leonel Messi

Messi who has spent his entire career at Barcelona, coming through the club’s academy before going on to score 672 goals in 778 appearances after making his senior debut in 2003 has officially left the club.

PSG is the only club that has been able to put together a financial package to sign Messi for now. If this is to happen, then they will need to do some clever financial engineering work to ensure the club can complete the transfer without financial problems afterward.

Some reports indicate that Paris Saint-Germain is set to give the six-time Ballon d’Or winner a whopping €40 million-a-year after tax.

Messi will join PSG because he is attracted to their sporting project, he wants to give the team their first Champions League, and because it is a very easy life in Ligue 1, alongside his friend.

Although the media claimed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has requested an ‘urgent meeting’ with Messi’s representatives through a UK intermediary, PSG still seems to have upper hand in signing Messi.

As it stands, there is no confirmed new cub team for Messi.
