Freddie Freeman Biography: During his career, Freeman has been an integral part of the Atlanta Braves’ rebuilding process. He contributed to 393 games between 2015 and 2017. He was selected to the 2018 All-Star Game and won his first Gold Glove. He also won three consecutive Silver Slugger Awards from 2019 to 2021. In 2019, Freeman hit 13 home runs and drove in 53 runs, earning him the 2020 NL MVP award.
Freeman was born in Fountain Valley, California. His parents were from the Canadian province of Ontario. His father was from Windsor and his mother was from Peterborough. He is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. His mother passed away of melanoma when he was ten years old. He has two older brothers, Phillip and Andrew. Freddie Freeman is married to Chelsea Goff, and they have two children together. He and Chelsea Goff were married in 2014 after a year of dating. The couple moved to Atlanta to be near one another. Afterward, he and Chelsea Marie Goff welcomed a second son, named Fedrick Charles Freeman III. Both children were named after Freddie Freeman’s father, Charlie.
