SAD As Veteran Ghanaian Radio Presenter Is Confirmed Dead

Mmrantiehene Yeboah Afari aka Man 88, a veteran radio presenter who worked for Kumasi-based Sompa FM, died after a brief illness.

According to reports, the veteran media personality died early Saturday morning, September 17, 2022, after being admitted to the Manyhia Government Hospital in Kumasi.

For years, he has delighted radio listeners in Kumasi with his rich history of Asante culture, popular cliches coined by him, and mastery of the native language.

The late media personality worked for more than a decade at various radio stations in Kumasi, including Fox FM, OTEC FM, New Mercury, and Kessben FM, before recently joining the newly opened Sompa FM.

The sad thing about Mmrantiehene’s death is that he was live on-air on Sompa FM just yesterday, Friday, September 16, 2022, but Ghanaians learned of his death today.
