Jackson joined the Texas Longhorns basketball team while attending the University of Texas at Austin. Jackson was voted the top rookie of the year by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) in 2004.

Tiffany Jackson, a member of the Texas women’s basketball team who was an All-American and the No. 5 choice in the 2007 WNBA draft, passed away on Monday after a battle with breast cancer, the university reported. Jackson, then 37.

She participated in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) as a professional player for the Los Angeles Sparks, Tulsa Shock, and New York Liberty. Later, she worked as the Texas Longhorns women’s basketball team’s assistant coach.
