The Former Manchester City and current Barcelona striker, Sergio Kun Aguero have sadly announced his retirement from football following a heart-related issue identified as cardiac arrhythmia diagnosis.
FC Barcelona recently signed Sergio Kun Aguero from Manchester City to help get more goals from their attacks. He was injured in one of his early games for the Catalan club which has landed in heart-related disease.
Now, Sergio Kun Aguero has come out through a press conference held in Barcelona to bring down the curtains on his illustrious football career that spanned over a decade.
What really happened to Sergio Kun Aguero during the game was very serious as the 33-year-old was taken to hospital after experiencing chest pains and breathing difficulties during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Alaves in October and was subsequently ruled out of action for three months following a cardiac arrhythmia diagnosis.
Aguero’s former club President had this to say about the striker who is forced to retire from football;
“The facts speak for themselves – Sergio is quite simply the most ruthless striker in the history of the Premier League. It is extraordinary that his statistics, more reflective of two careers, are in fact those of a player whose time in the game was cut short.
“His impact lives not only in the club that we are today but in the club that we will be for many years to come. He has earned the adoration of the City family, and the respect of the football family the World over.”
