Police in Mankessim, Central Region, arrested a pastor after he admitted to assisting a local chief in the kidnapping, murder, and secret burial of a 25-year-old nurse trainee.
On Tuesday, September 20, the pastor and police investigators exhumed the body of the student nurse, Georgina Asor Botchwey, in the room of the Tufuhen of Ekumfi Akwakrom, Nana Crack.
According to media reports, the nurse was abducted after the chief, who is also the president of the Mankessim Traders Association, and the pastor had sexual relations with her.
Following the deeds, both the pastor and the local chief allegedly killed and buried this lovely trainee nurse in one of the chief’s apartments.
The pastor was apprehended in Cape Coast, and after being apprehended, he willingly admitted to the crime and led the cops to the chief’s house, where the victim’s body was exhumed.
According to reports, the victim’s body was buried nearly three weeks ago. Along with the body, the victim’s bag, shoes, and other belongings were discovered at the chief’s residence.
Residents have expressed shock and outrage at the incident, and have asked police to ensure that justice is served. The town of Mankessim was shocked, and people flocked to see where the trainee nurse’s body was secretly buried.
