Tyson and Paul weighed in one night before their contentious battle, as fans in Dallas applauded for the boxing legend and booed for the social media star. Paul weighed 227.2 pounds, followed by Tyson at 228.4 pounds.
Then, when Paul and Tyson got face to face, the latter slapped Paul before security separated them.
“Talking’s over,” Tyson told host Ariel Helwani, before refusing to explain why he hit Paul or answer more questions.
Paul then said: “I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow you’re getting knocked the f*** out. I’m f***ing him up.
“He hits like a b***, it’s personal now, he must die!” Paul screamed.
Paul has a professional record of 10-1 (7 knockouts), defeating various mixed martial artists and lesser-known boxers. Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury’s half-brother, defeated him on points in early 2023, his only loss.
Meanwhile, Tyson prepares for his first professional fight since 2005. “Iron Mike” did, however, compete in an exhibition in 2020, where he beat Roy Jones Jr to a tie.
Paul vs Tyson, which will be broadcast live on Netflix, will take place at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
