Man Arrested for Poisoning His Three Children in Shocking Incident
The case under scrutiny is one that was very sad and really painful, and this has happened in Bayelsa State, Nigeria, where Mr. Samuel Otasi, to put it in other words, is the man in his forties who has been committed to police custody in regard to the accusation of poisoning his three children on the basis of the allegations reported by the man in charge of his spiritual affairs.
Local police have reported that Mr. Otasi administered a de@dly dose of ordinary yet highly po!sonous Sniper insecticide to his children, who were 10, 12, and 14 years of age.

The po!soning came after a recent prayer session organised by a pastor who was reported to have accused the kids of being wizards who had to be taking revenge on their father due to his unrelenting sufferings in life.
Unfortunately, two of the children (10 and 12 years old) passed away soon after taking the poison. The third one was a girl aged 14 who survived the first attack, and she is still in critical condition in a local hospital.
“The view was gruesome.” The person in charge of media in the Bayelsa State Police Command said, “These were innocent children that should have been shielded. The father is already arrested, and a thorough investigation is being made. We also want to be questioning the spiritual leader, no doubt.”
The preliminary results show that the poisoning occurred a few hours after Mr. Otasi arrived back home after a church session during which the pastor was reported to have told him that he had been spiritually sabotaged by the children.

Pressured and under the conviction of this spiritual diagnosis, Otasi is said to have resolved to solve this by cleaning himself by getting rid of the so-called cause of his woes, namely his own children.
The case has created a rage in Nigeria with people demanding that unlicensed pastors and spiritual guides be strictly regulated.
Activists on child rights have decried the action and called on the government to clamp down on the rising cases of labeling of children witches or wizards in some religious circles.
One activist said, explaining, being represented not by just one man, but a system in which it could be possible to kill because of spiritual manipulation.
With the investigations going on, the police have assorted the people that justice will be served at all cost.
At the same time, the child who survived continues to be under intensive care, and her chances to make some sort of a physical recovery are considerable, even though the scars left on her emotionally may never disappear.
