Nana Yaw, an emerging singer from Sowutuom who goes by the stage name Wyllbeemusic, was lynched to death in Abuakwa-Tanoso, Ashanti Region while sleeping overnight at his girlfriend’s house.
According to accounts, the deceased traveled from Accra to Kumasi to spend several days with his sweetheart, who, unbeknownst to him, was married to a guy abroad and lived with her in-laws.
According to the family, Wyllbee did not inform any family members about his journey.
However, about 1 a.m. on Friday, the deceased apparently awoke to urinate outdoors when he was discovered by some occupants of the complex house, who challenged him, suspecting him of being a burglar.
According to reports, the deceased explained that he had been to the residence to spend time with his girlfriend, but the girl allegedly denied knowing him in order to protect her marriage.
The incident worsened as tenants of the house told neighbours that they had captured a thief, leading to the deceased being viciously beaten.
The dead was transported to a local hospital early in the morning after the family was notified of their son’s condition.
Unfortunately, he died after being moved to Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for more medical care.
