The Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu has discussed his divorce from ex-wife Naa Okailey Nyarko and her choice to wed a white man again in the US on multiple occasions.
In a weekend interview with UTV’s United Showbiz, the Kumawood actor revealed that he is not grieving over his divorce. Known for his humorous roles and exuberant demeanor, Kwaku Manu shocked a lot of people when he said that, despite learning of Naa Okailey’s second marriage to her obroni lover, he was not devastated.
“Some of us understand life in the sense that we can start life with someone and not end with them,” – he explained.
He went on to say that even though he never intended to get divorced, he has come to terms with the fact that partnerships don’t always go as planned.
In response to inquiries concerning his most recent travel to the US, Kwaku Manu denied reports that his visit was related to the remarriage of his ex-wife.
He made it clear that he was only there for personal reasons, to celebrate his birthday and film a heartbreak-themed movie series for his YouTube channel.
Additionally, Kwaku Manu said that he, not Naa Okailey, was the one who started the divorce.
He emphasized that his awareness of life’s obstacles and the necessity to safeguard his wellbeing were the main reasons behind his choice to dissolve the union.
“In life, if you have courage and wisdom, you will not allow marriage to end your life,” – He stated
