How Long Is God of War Ragnarök? Did you know?

Do you want to know how long it will take you to complete The God of War Ragnarök? The answer isn’t as simple as you might think. The answer, like in most games, will change depending on what you want to achieve throughout the game. It’s a long, sprawling title with so much to do that your head might spin.

Despite the fact that many story threads are resolved in this sequel to 2018’s God of War, there is still a lot to discover and unfurl as you progress through the game. That means you could spend a lot of time immersed in the world of fantastic mythical creatures, gods and goddesses, and breathtaking scenery.

Aside from the main plot, there are extras to sort through. Santa Monica Studio apparently enjoys collectibles, which is typical of big games like these. So just because you’ve seen the story unfold doesn’t always mean the game is done and dusted. Perhaps you haven’t even begun to scratch the surface.

Need to complete God of War Ragnarök quickly? Or maybe you’re looking for the best bang for your buck so you can play a game for a long time without having to buy another? As you dive into God of War Ragnarök, we’ve got all the answers you’re looking for and more.

In God of War Ragnarök, Kratos, Brok, and Atreus meet. The game can be completed in around 30 hours if you avoid extra and extra content, but seeing everything takes a long time.

The game God of War Ragnarök is quite lengthy. We played for about 34 hours to get to the end of the game for a review, including an epilogue before the final credits rolled. However, that is only a suggestion for playtime.

Due to time constraints, that was time spent on one save, moving as quickly as possible to the end of the game. However, that number grew significantly once we returned and began discovering all of the items and secrets that had been left undiscovered.

With this in mind, it appears that 30 hours is the sweet spot for those who just want to get through the story, but it could very well be shorter for anyone who plays on the easiest difficulty or rushes to the end without looking at a single side quest, which we definitely made time for here and there.

And what if you’re planning a completionist run? If you want to see and do everything, plan on playing for at least 60 hours. Unless you use a guide to find every single item, you’ll have to fight off enemies, which can take the longest. It’s safe to say God of War Ragnarök is a game you’ll be sinking your teeth into for some time.
