Social media users switch on Efia Odo after a video of him hits online.
The media personality and Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo, has once more ignited the ire of the populace when a titillating nightclub video of her was circulated on the social networks.
In the popular clip, Efia is depicted wearing a small, thigh-high skirt and suggesting to dance at a late-night party.
Her black underwear and waist beads showed clearly as she strutted to the music eliciting jeers of some and severe condemnation by others.

Although most Ghanaians are accustomed to the (Efia Odo) daring and unabashed fashion sense, this video has landed with a different impact particularly due to the fact that the social media figure has just recounted herself a born again Christian.
The discrepancy between her open declaration of spiritual conversion and what she does in the video has left a part of the population puzzled and dissatisfied.
One worried Twitter user wrote, “She said she repented and found Jesus- what is this again?”
Another user wrote, “We had been encouraging her spiritual reboot, but apparently all that was to get attention. It is sorrowful, this is all.”
Several of the critics claim that the video weakens her credibility and conveys a mixed message, especially to her young fans who might emulate her.

This case has sparked off generations of debates in Ghana concerning the freedom of an individual, morality and the role of public figures.
There are those who believe that Efia Odo is merely doing what she sees fit as a human right to express oneself, and there are those who think she is deceiving people especially following her declaration of spiritual rebirth.
Interestingly, Efia Odo has not reacted to the backlash as yet. But we all who know her know she is never one to avoid controversy.
Andrea Owusu, also known as Efia Odo has over the years established a reputation of being a staunch believer in the freedom of choice and female empowerment.
This newest video has once again put her under the crossfire of a people that wants to see consistency between what is believed and what is done.
Regardless of whether she decided to make a clarification or not, the discussion is still underway, and Ghana, once more, is left speaking about the boundary between personal expression and social accountability.
