Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has admitted that there are challenges in Ghana.
Bernard Antwi Boasiako who is widely known as Chairman Wontumi thinks that even though Ghana faces challenges, the quality of life there is higher than in the United Kingdom.
Chairman Wontumi said that people in the UK find it difficult to save money since the majority of their income is spent on paying their bills.
He mentioned a situation where guests were required to bring their own food and water to parties as an example, stating that there is plenty of food in Ghana and that guests are always served food at parties.

I recognize that there are challenges in our country, However, these challenges are not unique to Ghana and we strive to improve our people’s quality of life. The living conditions in Ghana are actually superior to those in the United Kingdom.
This is true because it is currently mandatory for guests attending parties in the UK to bring their own snacks, drinks, and water.
Because of this, if a person in the UK makes 1,500 pounds a year, after paying 800 pounds for rent and other bills, they won’t have much left over to save or support their family.
As a result, we are in a better situation, Unlike in the UK, booking an appointment is not necessary when visiting a hospital in this country.
I encourage journalists to be honest with the people of Ghana, and those residing outside the country should also be truthful with their loved ones about the global hardships.
In an interview with the media, he said that everyone must realize that the Russia-Ukraine war and COVID have had catastrophic impacts on every country.
