GH Kobby’s Friend Obolo Parties After Murder Case—Ghanaians Speak Out
Kojo Emmanuel aka Obolo, a close pal of GH Kobby has raised an uproar on the internet after a video of him partying at a nightclub in the wake of the funeral service of their deceased friend, Yaa Baby was posted online.
One of the three arrested and remanded for two weeks was Obolo who witnessed the tragic shooting of Yaa Baby on June 10, 2025, in Yeji Bono Region. He was later on released on June 24, together with another suspect, Michael Kabutey.
The prime suspect, GH Kobby, is in police custody on serious charges after he allegedly shot Yaa Baby whose real name was Philipa Frimpong.

The funeral of Yaa Baby was held in Mount Hermon School Park in Apatrapa off Kumasi. Obolo was not around, even though he was a close associate.
Reportedly, he had been apprehensive of his security and the risk of being assaulted as long as he had appeared at the burial.
But only a few days later, Obolo was caught in a viral video, dancing in a night club, wearing all-black.
He was spotted among young women hysterically yelling his name, a chant of vengeance that had been formulated by the hundreds of his fans who felt that he had been unfairly slapped with the case.
The video immediately became the talk of the town with several social media users wondering what he was doing.
One of the commenters said, “He ought to remember that someone passed away in his presence. At least grieve with the family.”
The other one said, “We thought this tragedy would make Obolo change, but he is back to chilling.“
Some people have come out to defend him, claiming that he only needed to escape after a traumatic experience; however, other people have come out to heavily criticise the video, terming it as being disrespectful, shortly after the burial of Yaa Baby.
To the backlash, Obolo has not reacted publicly. But now most people are wondering what actions they should take when they are so closely related to a recent tragedy.
With the case against GH Kobby still ongoing and the dust still settling, the people cannot take their eyes off the involved persons and how they decide to portray themselves after such a tragedy.
