A family of four tragically lost their lives in a fire that engulfed their three-bedroom house at Gyinyase, near Atonsu in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, leaving residents in shock.
The victims, identified as Linda Agyemang, a nurse at the Kumasi South Government Hospital, and her three children, were trapped inside the burning building. Despite efforts from neighbors to rescue them, the intensity of the flames made access impossible.
Three other occupants of the house were rescued and are currently receiving treatment at the Kumasi South Hospital.
Police later transported the remains of the deceased to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for preservation, while investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
