Erling Haaland Sister: Erling Braut Haaland is a professional football player from Norway who competes for both the Norway national team and Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund as a striker. He is expected to sign with Premier League team Manchester City on July 1, 2022, pending acceptance of personal terms.
Erling was born in Leeds, England, on July 21, 2000. On the other hand, he grew up in Bryne, Norway, alongside his parents and older sister. At the age of five, he began attending the Bryne academy, the local club.
Haaland played at the senior level for Bryne’s reserve and senior teams. He moved to Molde in 2017 and spent two seasons. He later signed with Red Bull Salzburg in January 2019, winning two league titles and one Austrian Cup. In December 2019, he moved to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, with whom he won a DFB-Pokal in 2020–21.
He has represented Norway at several youth levels on the international stage. Haaland set a competition record by scoring nine goals in one game to win the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup’s Golden Boot. In September 2019, he made his senior international debut.
Throughout his career, Haaland set numerous records and received numerous individual honors. He made history by being the youngest youngster to score in five straight UEFA Champions League games during Salzburg’s 2019–20 season. The following year, he led all scorers in the Champions League.
In 2020, Haaland won the Golden Boy award, while in 2021 he was named Bundesliga Player of the Season and was included in the FIFA FIFPro World11 2021. These accomplishments have led to Haaland being considered one of the best strikers in the world.
