Chef Smith’s assistant writes to disassociate herself from the GWR scandal.
Chef Smith and his assistant were on course to have the names recorded in the Guinness World Record only for it to be swept under the carpet.
Ghanaians took to social media to congratulate Chef Smith after it was announced that he had been recognized as the world record holder for the longest cooking marathon. Hours later, it was announced that the claims from Mr Smith weren’t true and that he was making false claims.
One person who was always seen with Smith was his assistant Leticia Martekie Sankah. She took to social media to officially disassociate herself from the GWR scandal.
“To my family, friends, and the public,
I offer my sincerest apologies for my involvement in Chef Smith’s cooking marathon.
I was unaware of the fraudulent intentions and believed I was supporting a friend in a legitimate endeavor. My intention was to showcase my culinary skills and support someone I trusted.
However, I now understand that my actions contributed to the situation. I take full responsibility for my part and assure you that I have learned from this experience.
I regret any harm and disappointment caused to my loved ones and appreciate their support.
If there’s anything specific I can do to make amends, please let me know.
