Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh, the proprietor of Labianca Company, has been given a state funeral.
A burial service was held in the State House courtyard to pay their final respects to the late Dcns Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Hinneh, a former member of the Council of State.

On June 12, 2024, Asomah-Hinneh passed away following a brief illness. In addition, she represented the Western Region as a member of the Council of State.
The case garnered national attention after the Special Prosecutor claimed that Asomah-Hinneh’s influence-peddling had helped her company receive lower tax responsibilities.
The Special Prosecutor released a report in August 2022 alleging that Labianca Manufacturer Ltd., a frozen food manufacturer, had avoided paying GH¢1.074 million in import tariffs.
According to the study, the sum represented a deficiency in import duties that were paid to the government. The Special Prosecutor further stated that Asomah-influence-peddling Hineh was the cause of the tax evasion.
The report claims that she obtained lower tax obligations from the Customs Division by using her membership in the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority Board of Directors and Council of State..
In a section of a pre-recorded one-hour interview, Asomah-Hinneh spoke about how she was attacked when she started her business. Later in life, she also said old and new media attacked her. She admitted there were times she considered stopping her business.
