Augustine Okrah has rejected a callup to the Black Stars

He was initially called up and dropped for the AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and CAR.

Bechem United player Augustine Okrah received Black Stars call up ahead of AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African Republic.

He was dropped from the squad, recalled again for the Black Stars tournament in Japan but the player seemed not to be interested in joining the Black Stars camp anytime soon as he decides to sit out.

Some reports that came through suggested the the player feels he was treated unfairly after being dropped from the squad that went to Angola to play with C.A.R.

Augustine Okrah had to this say when he was asked why he rejected the Black Stars callup.

Augustine Okrah : I got injured during our game against Aduana Stars.

“I didn’t want to go and disgrace myself reason why I didn’t report to the Black Stars.

” I told Lord Zico to inform the management about by fitness and my decision not to join the team.

Okrah has 14 goals in the ongoing Ghana Premier League with his team lying in the second position.
