Asamoah Gyan, the nation’s most unparalleled goal scorer, has requested that Ghanaians appeal to God for the Black Stars’ triumph in the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament, coming on soon in Qatar on a short notice.
Stating his opinion, he says Ghanaians have talked about the team quite extensively, and should instead begin rooting for the Black Stars squad in their current journey to the World Cup stage, for more morale and enthusiasm.
The 37-year-old former Black Stars captain, has requested that all Ghanaians rally behind the team, as they represent their country against the world, during this month, as well as the month of December. Asamoah Gyan happens to be the African footballer with the highest record of goal points at the FIFA record score sheet.
Validating his point of view, he said, “Everyone has shared his or her opinion about the BLACK STARS. 26 man squad is out now so what we have to do now is to support those in camp now.”

The Black Stars will subsequently have a fierce encounter with Asian powerhouse South Korea, four days after they tussle with Portugal at the Al Rayyan’s Education City Stadium.
At the group phase of the competition, the Black Stars, who are contending in their 4th FIFA World Cup competition, will have a finale encounter in a match against Uruguay at the Al Janoub Arena in Al Wakrah.
