Akuapem Poloo’s appeal hearing is slated for October 25, 2021, as the case continues.

Akuapem Poloo’s case continues as the Criminal Division of the Accra High Court is expected to sit on the case and hear the motion for appeal which was filed by Rosemond Alade Brown aka Akuapem Poloo challenging her conviction on October 25, 2021.

Akuapem Poloo was arrested after her incident which got a lot of Ghanaians talking, she was taken to prison and later granted bail, this happened on June 16, 2021, she was sentenced to a 90-day jail term by the Circuit Court presided over by Christiana Cann.

After she was granted bail by the High Court, the pending notice of appeal was filed by Akuapem Poloo’s lawyer Andrew Kudzo Vortia. The Defence Counsel who is Andrew Kudzo Vortia has already fulfilled all conditions precedent for the appeal of the appellant.

Now the office of the Attorney General has however caused a hearing notice to be served on the Lawyer for the appellant (Akaupem Poloo).

The Attorney General has already filed the appeal process. As per Starr News sources, both parties have filed their respective addresses for the consideration of the High Court and the case has tentatively been scheduled for Monday, October 25, 2021, for the appeal to be heard.
