What Okudzeto meant by her above statement.

The National Democratic Congress, legislature for the people of North Tongu, Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa, has assured the good people of Ghana whose Ghana cards are yet to be connected to the sim card that everybody’s “phones will be disconnected together.”

Mr. Okudzeto stressed that most Ghanaians have genuine reasons for which reason why we are not able to get the Ghana card connected to the same cards.

He explained that most of the issues regarding the delay for some of the people to join the card is coming from the national identification authority, and therefore the ordinary citizen cannot bear the consequences of the challenges from the national identification office. He cited the example of his constituency stating that they are about 1445 people who have genuinely registered for the cards, but the NIA office hasn’t been able to get their cards ready for them.

He emphasized that any attempt by the ministry of communication to deactivate things will mean that everyone’s phone or SIM will be disconnected.

According to Mr. Ablakwa, “For a good four months — since the 29th of March, the NIA Office in North Tongu has been unable to print Ghana Cards for a massive 1,445 beloved constituents of mine who registered for the cards due to what officials are describing as logistical challenges from HQ.”

Mr. Ablakwa lamented over the unfair distribution of the Ghana card, stating that some regions, such as the Greater Accra, have almost distributed the cards to all the people who registered whiles other regions and constituencies are suffering.

He said, “Interesting how Ghana Cards are available in Accra, and yet NIA management cannot ensure all districts in Ghana are served. What’s the plan?

He has therefore assured that “Be rest assured, you are not alone in this — our phones will be disconnected together, and we shall fight together to have them restored.,
