Ellen Korkor Asante reveals why she doesn’t want to use the “Afia Schwarzenegger” name tag [Video]

Actress Ellen Korkor Asante, who took over as the lead in the “Afia Schwarzenegger” TV series, has provided a reason for why she does not want to keep the brand name.

At the beginning of the TV series, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa played the lead actress.

She played the part for years even though she was no longer filming the show; Deloris Frimpong Manso, her current arch-enemy, controlled the series.

Even after the series has been off the air for some time, it was anticipated that the next main actress, Ellen Korkor Asante, will continue to use the name.

In a conversation on the Uncut Show with the lifestyle and celebrity blogger Zionfelix, Korkor hinted that the name “Afia Schwarzenegger” had only been given to her for professional purposes and not as a permanent moniker.

She said that even though their brand names are not their true identities, the majority of Ghanaian performers have been using them for years. She listed people like Agya Koo, Lilwin, and Dr. Likee who go by their stage identities most of the time but have actual names as well.

Contrary to her, no one in their industry has ever used these names, therefore they often stick with their stage identities.

Despite the fact that some people continue to refer to her as Afia Schwarzenegger, she continued by saying she was happy to be called by her given name, “Korkor.”
