Real Madrid lost 4:3 to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in their first league encounter of the Uefa Champions League semi final matches

13 times Champions league winners Real Madrid lost the first league of the Uefa Champions league semi final match to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City opened their account through a Kevin De Bruyne header in the 2nd minute and then added the second through Gabriel Jesus on the 11th minute.

City looked to be running away with the win before Karim Benzema pulled one back for the Spanish champions.

Goals from Phil Foden and Bernado Silva on the 53rd and 74th minutes respectively were enough to win City the match despite goals from Benzema and Vinicius Junior.

The return league comes off at the Estadio Santiago De Bernabau on 4th May 2022.
