Important Facts About Vagina Every Woman Should Know About

Vagina

Facts about Vagina I think you should know, this will help you avoid using some chemicals.

The vagina is one of the most delicate organs in the body of a woman. It refers to a muscular canal covered with nerves and mucus membranes. It attaches the uterus and cervix to the outside of the body, thereby permitting menstruation, intercourse, and childbirth.

Aside from these functions, do you know that there are other facts attached to the vagina? Some of them include;

1. Vaginas get deeper when we’re turned on

Do you know that the mind is one of the most powerful weapons for intercourse? With intercourse on the mind, the vagina opens its doors. After arousal, the upper portion of the vagina gets deeper thus pushing the cervix and uterus slightly deeper into your body to make room for intercourse.

2. Childbirth doesn’t permanently stretch out the vagina but expects some changes a few days after giving birth vaginally, your vagina and vulva will likely feel bruised and swollen. It is common for your vagina to feel more open than normal on account of the human that recently passed through.

But there is no need to worry because the swollenness and openness subside within a few days. So many women bother about this but there is no need for that.

3. Some people have two vaginas

This might sound weird but this is true. Due to a rare abnormality called uterus didelphys, a very small number of people have two vaginal canals. People with two vaginas can still get pregnant and deliver a baby, but there’s a much higher risk for miscarriage and preterm labour. In case you are in this condition, don’t feel bad.

4. And they also change colour

There have been several reports about this but it is normal. When you are in the mood for intercourse, blood gushes to your vulva and vagina. This can cause the colour of your skin in that area to appear darker. But there is no need to be bothered about this because it will go back to its normal shade after intercourse time is over.

5. You can get ‘wet’ without being aroused for intercourse is a common belief that when a vagina is wet, the person must want to have intercourse but this is wrong. Vaginas can get wet for a lot of reasons. Hormones cause cervical mucus to be excreted daily. The vulva is packed with many concentrations of sweat glands.

Also, vaginas can automatically generate lubrication when they’re touched, even without being aroused. Hence don’t always associate being wet with Intercourse alone.

6. Vaginas are supposed to have a smell

So many feel bad when their vagina has a particular smell but this is wrong. The vagina encompasses a highly specialized lot of bacteria that operate always to keep your vaginal pH healthy and balanced. And like other bacteria, there do have a smell. Hence avoid using perfumes and other soaps on your vagina to make it smell nice.

7. Not all people with vaginas are women

This might sound off but it’s true. Genitalia is not an indicator of gender and it can be harmful to assume so. Many people have a vagina who aren’t women. They may identify as a man or nonbinary. This is a very odd fact you need to know.
