Dherty, an Afrobeat artist making history in West Africa – Ghana


He was born Vincent Owusu at Nzema Aiyinase in the western part of Ghana, he started and completed his basic education at Sacred Action school at Aiyinase in the year 2010 and continued his second cycle of education at St. John’s boy’s school at sekondi Takoradi and also completed in 2013. In St. John’s school, he offered Visual art as a course.

Dherty identified his potential of singing at the age of 14 where he began to write his own songs. At the age of 18, he had his first recording while he was still in senior high school in the year 2012.

After senior high school, Dherty left his potential behind and took to the street to look for life because the music wasn’t paying, and therefore how to even record a song and promote was a problem.

After finding something finding small for himself that could help him record a song, he came to the scene again in 2017, and since that time music has been part of his life
Dherty was then called bhig boat when he started his career, he changed it to Dherty in early 2019 that was when he came out with B3t33, which makes waves across the cities in the country, from there Dherty has been releasing hit upon hit songs.

Dherty teamed up with his friends in other to create a strong team to help push the brand LYFSTYLE MUZIK, which involves Godwin Labronzy Hayford acting as his road manager & director.

Dherty is currently working on his first album under LYFSTYLE MUZIK, which has 12 songs on it. He is yet to release another single which comes with both audio and visuals titled M3lody.
