Ghanaians reacts to GH₵100 appeal for funds to build National Cathedral

Social media has been on fire today as Ghanaians finally expresss their displeasure over the government’s call on citizens to support the building of a National Cathedral, to be commissioned on March 6, 2024,Government is appealing to the citizens to at least contribute GH₵100 a month to make this dream a reality.

The Minister of Finance in the person of Ken Ofori Atta revealed this plan while presenting the 2021 Mid-Year review Budget Statement and Economic Policy on Thursday.

He also appealed to the Members of Parliament, to be part of the one million Ghanaians projected to support the initiative dubbed, “Ketewa biara nsua” with GH₵100 a month.

Ken Ofori Atta made it clear that everybody can take part in this cause to help build this modern Cathedral for Ghana dialing the short code *979#.

This pleading or appeal for funds has hit so many Ghanaians as they express their displeasure in tgis cause.

Some said that government should rather look at raising revenue to improve the health and education sectors as well as provide Ghanaians with good roads and other social amenities.
