Thomas Partey Gifts Sarkodie Customized Arsenal Jersey (Photos)

Sarkodie has received a customized jersey from Thomas Partey.

Thomas Partey has surprised the award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie as he presented a customized Arsenal jersey to him.


This happened when the Ghanaian midfielder met Sarkodie in London over the weekend during the 2021 edition of Ghana Party In The Park.

Thomas Partey was born in Krobo Odumase and was a product of the local club, Odometah’s youth. He was signed to Atlético Madrid in 2011. On 10 March 2013, he was called up to the main squad for the match against Real Sociedad.

Thomas Partey began his professional career at the Spanish club Atlético Madrid in 2013, going on loan to Mallorca and Almería, and he returned to Atlético in 2015 where he won the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup in 2018.

He joined Arsenal in a transfer worth about £45 million. This made him the most expensive Ghanaian player of all time.

Thomas Partey represented his nation at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

In 2016, Thomas Partey was called up for the first time to the Ghana national team by the then-manager Avram Grant. During that time, the team was heading towards the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Mauritius.

Thomas Partey scored his first international hat-trick in a 5–1 win against Congo in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification.

He was then chosen by coach Kwesi Appiah to Join the 23-man squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. In their last group game, he scored in a 2–0 win over Guinea-Bissau. This took place at the Suez Stadium as the Black Stars topped their group. He scored in the penalty shootout at the end of that-16 game against Tunisia on 8 July, though his team was eliminated.

Partey won Ghana Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019. Thomas Partey was named Ghana’s vice-captain ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as well as the 2022 FIFA World Cup
