Boko Haram attacks a military camp

Boko Haram has reportedly attacked a military formation in Borno.

As reported by Naijanews from Nigeria, this attack occurred on 6th July which was a Tuesday evening at Kwamdi village in Damboa Local Government Area (LGA) of the state. The force stormed the military formation in 10 utility vehicles and took away their weapons.

The ISWAP troopers also set ablaze some military equipment after a gun duel with the troops. The troop reportedly came around 4:00pm to attack the Military.

“They came at about 4:00 p.m. and due to the sand storms, it was difficult for soldiers to repel them. They burnt down the base including APC and four other vehicles,” the local vigilante said.

It was found out that the terrorists burnt down one Amour Personnel Carrier (APC) and a gun truck as they took away an unidentified number of weapons. A member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), reported that Boko Haram targeted the military camp and not residents residing in the southern axis of the state.

According to Hamidu Abu, the military formation was razed down by the terrorists as they made away with arms and ammunition.
